So are we almost there or only halfway? It's hard to tell. We've gotten so far but there still seems so much to do. I am not discouraged, I just think it is going to take a little longer than originally anticipated. We should be done some time before April (hopefully).

Porches

Friends are the pillars on your porch. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes they lean on you, and sometimes it's just enough to kow that they are standing by.

I love porches! I have always wanted a front porch and really fought hard at each revision to either add or keep the front porch. My dad on the other hand loves back porches. Now we have both and I'm so excited about them both.

Red Tagged

Hope is tomorrow's veneer over today's disappointment.

We were red tagged today for the final inspection. It was a mild disappointment considering the girls were ready to move in today and tomorrow. All of the notes were minor so I have hope for tomorrow. I hope that the inspector beats the furniture trucks to the duplex. Think green thoughts for tomorrow!!

Exterior Strides

I have neglected to show any photos of the exterior lately. Mostly because I think it looks the same everyday and the scaffolding is in the way. As I was parousing through the old photos I realized just how far we had come since that last exterior photo was posted. So here they are.

Paint, Stone & Tile

We're really coming along now. The paint really makes it look like it's finishing. The tile gets it even closer. The last week has seen one unit finish the first coat of paint and start on the tile. Doesn't the island look nice?

Golden Arch & Cabinets

We finished the tape & bedding and texture last week so today cabinets were installed!!!

The rain held off all day so we were able to make some progress outside as well. Saturday they set the arch and today layed the brick for it. They are calling for more rain this week which has really impeded our bricklaying. Hopefully we can keep up with the inside!

Duplex Sweet Duplex

After being out of town for a week, it was good to finally be back. While we were away, the insulation was installed, we passed inspection and the guys finished bricking the back. So today they moved to the front and the sheetrocking has begun.

Rusty graced us with his presence today too.
